WATERWAYS is a new organisation which uses public art to advocate and create awareness about the importance of healthy creeks, rivers, streams, brooks, wetlands and tidal waters.

Founded in 2021 by Creative Director Tom Civil.

Tom is an artist, muralist, community art facilitator and printmaker. Tom has painted over 30 commissioned murals across Melbourne in the last ten years. He has worked on and managed large-scale mural projects and proven he can deliver strong community outcomes on time and on budget. He has worked painting murals with kindergartens, courts, Indigenous organisations, councils, housing commission flats, festivals, concrete plant, youth centres, schools, nursing homes, radio stations, prisons, zoo animal enclosures, parks, fish and chip shops and community gardens. Tom has a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Env. Management) and is a current co-director of Everfresh Studio.
